New Hampshire Immigration Attorney Jason M. Sullivan

About Attorney Jason M. Sullivan

Experienced Immigration Counsel for Families, Professionals, and Employers

Immigration law is more than forms and filing deadlines. For many clients, immigration cases determine where they will live, whether families can remain together, whether careers can continue, and whether years of planning and sacrifice will ultimately succeed.

For more than two decades, I have dedicated my legal career to helping individuals, families, and businesses navigate the complexities of the U.S. immigration system. Through the Law Office of Jason M. Sullivan, PLLC, I provide strategic immigration representation to clients throughout New Hampshire, across the United States, and around the world.

My practice focuses exclusively on immigration law. I do not divide my attention among multiple practice areas. Every day, I work with the statutes, regulations, policies, and government agencies that shape our immigration system.

Professional Background And Credentials

Over the course of my career, I have represented clients before U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS), the U.S. Department of Labor, the Board of Immigration Appeals, and federal courts. In addition to representing clients, I have served as an Adjunct Professor, an expert witness in immigration-related matters, and frequently provide expert opinions to other attorneys.

My experience includes family-based immigration, employment-based immigration, PERM labor certification, National Interest Waivers, citizenship and naturalization, adjustment of status, consular processing, waivers, and complex immigration matters involving unusual facts, heightened scrutiny, or prior denials.

Helping Clients Solve Difficult Immigration Problems

Many immigration lawyers can prepare forms. The more important question is what happens when a case becomes complicated.

What happens when USCIS issues a Request for Evidence? What happens when an officer questions a client’s credibility? What happens when an application is denied? What happens when USCIS reviews statements made years earlier and raises concerns about a client’s immigration history?

Those are the situations where legal judgment and experience matters.

Over the years, I have developed a reputation for helping clients navigate difficult immigration matters, including Requests for Evidence (RFEs), Notices of Intent to Deny (NOIDs), prior application denials, naturalization complications, adjustment of status issues, immigration waivers, discretionary adjudication concerns, and cases previously handled by another attorney.

Many clients come to my office after something has gone wrong. Others seek my advice because they want to identify potential problems before they arise.

Understanding Cases From The Immigration Officer’s Perspective

One of the most important lessons I have learned over two decades of immigration practice is that successful immigration advocacy requires understanding how immigration officers evaluate cases.

Before preparing any filing, I ask what questions an officer is likely to have, what concerns may arise, and what evidence or legal analysis will be needed to address those concerns. By identifying potential issues early and addressing them proactively, clients are often able to avoid delays, Requests for Evidence, Notices of Intent to Deny, and other obstacles that can jeopardize an immigration case.

My approach is simple: understand the case from the perspective of the Immigration Officer reviewing it, identify concerns early, and build the strongest possible legal and factual presentation so my clients have the best chance at approval.

Direct Attorney Involvement

When clients hire my firm, they work directly with me. I personally review cases, develop legal strategy, analyze evidence, prepare filings, and guide clients through the immigration process. While support staff may assist with administrative matters, I remain actively involved in the legal work and decision-making that affects every case.

My Commitment To Communication

When I started my law practice, I read Jay Foonberg’s classic book on building a successful law firm. One lesson stood out above all others: year after year, the most common complaint clients have about lawyers is that they do not return phone calls or emails. I decided from the beginning that my practice would be different.

As a matter of firm policy, I strive to respond to every client communication within one business day, except when I am out of the office or on vacation.

Immigration matters are often stressful and deeply personal. Clients should not be left wondering whether their attorney received an email, reviewed a document, or is paying attention to their case.

Over the years, that commitment to communication has become one of the defining characteristics of my practice. Many of the reviews left by my clients specifically mention responsiveness, accessibility, and communication as reasons they chose to work with my office and recommend it to others.
